About Off Grids Common

A place for gathering and good coffee. Inspired by community-focused cafes, we’ve created a third space for the neighborhood to gather, work, and sip.

Located at 45-54 Bell Blvd, Bayside, NY 11361, Off Grids Common operates as a coffee shop serving Bayside in New York. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as cafe, so it may cover more than the name suggests.

Coffee in the United States is served by three kinds of places: national chains with drive-thrus and mobile ordering, independent neighborhood cafes that double as a workspace or a meeting spot, and specialty shops that roast their own beans or buy single-origin lots and brew them by pour-over, espresso or cold brew. Most open between 6 and 7 a.m. on weekdays, slightly later on weekends, and the busiest hour is the commute rush before 9. A drip coffee runs a few dollars, espresso drinks and specialty pours more, and tipping a dollar or a percentage on the card reader is customary but not required. Nearly every cafe offers free Wi-Fi, though some limit laptop seating at peak times or on weekends, and outlets are often the scarce resource.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. Typical hours are 8 am–8 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. No phone number is listed for this business, so the Google Maps link on this page is the best route for directions and any contact details Google has on file. More information is available on its website, instagram.com.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.7 out of 5 from 159 reviews, which is a strong result for a coffee shop in Bayside and suggests consistent service.

Bayside is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Traffic in Bayside peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

I can’t believe I just discovered Off Grids Commons, especially since it’s so close to where I live. This is such a cool little coffee shop with a cozy atmosphere that makes you want to stay and relax. So far, I’ve only tried their Ube Hojicha, and it was fantastic. The flavors were unique, well balanced, and unlike anything I’ve had at a typical coffee shop. It was smooth, not overly sweet, and left me excited to come back and explore the rest of the menu. It’s always great finding a local spot that stands out, and I’m glad this one is practically in my backyard. I’m definitely looking forward to trying more of what they have to offer in the future. If you’re on or around Bell Boulevard, Off Grids Commons is absolutely worth checking out.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but this place absolutely earned one. From the moment we walked in, the vibe was exactly what you want for a night out—lively without being overwhelming, great energy, and a space that actually feels welcoming instead of trying too hard. The music, lighting, and overall atmosphere all hit that perfect balance where you can enjoy yourself and still have a conversation. What really made the experience stand out, though, was the service—specifically Howie. Howie is hands down one of the best bartenders I’ve come across. Not only was he incredibly friendly and attentive, but he actually took the time to understand what we liked instead of just pushing standard menu drinks. His recommendations were spot on—every drink he suggested was better than the last. You can tell he really knows his craft and takes pride in what he’s making. It’s rare to find someone who combines technical skill with genuine personality, but Howie does both effortlessly. He made the whole experience feel personalized, remembered what we liked, and kept the energy going the entire night. That kind of service is what turns a good place into a great one. Drinks were well-balanced,

Such a cute spot with a real Manhattan vibe. The space is cozy, stylish, and perfect to relax or get some work done. I tried the strawberry matcha and oh my god absolutely amazing. So refreshing, perfectly balanced, and not too sweet. Loved everything about this place and will definitely be back. Highly recommend if you’re a matcha lover!

This coffee shop has quickly become a standout addition to the neighborhood, especially considering the scarcity of high-quality coffee options in the area. The space is well-designed and cozy, a complement to their exceptional drinks. I particularly love their matcha offerings—especially the strawberry matcha latte, which is easily one of the best I've ever had! Also love their rotating baked goods, I keep coming back to the butter mochi and Kora cookies. The service is consistently friendly as well. Staff are always nice and make you feel welcome. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a top-notch coffee experience!
